Acute Pain

Acute pain is pain that occurs following an injury, surgery, illness, or other tissue damage. While acute pain is a normal part of the body's healing process, it can sometimes be severe, persistent, or interfere with recovery.

At Neurovia, we believe that accurate diagnosis and early intervention are essential to achieving the best possible outcomes. We take pride in conducting thorough assessments to identify the underlying causes of pain and develop targeted treatment plans that not only support recovery but also help reduce the risk of acute pain progressing to a persistent or chronic pain condition.

We provide evidence-based assessment and treatment to help reduce pain, restore movement, and support a safe return to work, sport, and everyday activities. Early physiotherapy intervention can often optimise recovery, improve function, and minimise the long-term impact of injury.

We commonly treat a wide range of acute pain conditions, including:

  • Back and neck pain

  • Muscle strains and ligament sprains

  • Tendon injuries

  • Joint injuries

  • Post-operative pain and rehabilitation

  • Headaches

  • Acute nerve pain and radiculopathy

  • Fracture rehabilitation

Every treatment plan is tailored to the individual and may include education, hands-on therapy, exercise prescription, movement retraining, and strategies to support long-term recovery.
